All usual delivery estimates are temporarily on hold. Covid has really thrown a spanner in the works for all shipping companies which has caused substantial delays in shipments arriving, especially for wine and beer in glass bottles. These items must be handled manually to ensure they arrive to you in good condition. Unfortunately manpower is under stress due to workers having isolate and entire facilities have even had to shut down. You can expect your order to take up to 3 weeks and in come cases, more. All orders are generally shipped within 1 business day. If you would like us to hold your order for despatch on a specific date, please leave a note at the time of your purchase or email us on

We use Australia Post as our main courier partner, however we may use other delivery partners from time to time. Average delivery times for parcels from time of despatch are below:

  • Melbourne : 1 - 2 business days
  • VIC Non-Metro: 2 - 3 business days
  • Sydney: 2 - 3 business days
  • NSW Non Metro: 2 - 3 business days
  • Brisbane QLD: 2 - 3 business days
  • QLD Non Metro: 2 - 4 business days
  • Adelaide: 2 - 3 business days
  • SA Non Metro: 3 - 4 business days
  • Perth: 4 - 6 business days
  • WA Non Metro: 5 - 7 business days
  • NT: 5 - 7 business days
  • Tasmania: 5 - 7 business days 

Proof of Age Verification

As a part of our commitment to the responsible service of alcohol, we enforce the checking of proof of age identification. We take the responsible service of alcohol very seriously and want to make absolutely sure that we only sell alcohol to people over 18 years of age. To be on the safe side I.D. is required if you look under 25. Please don't take offence if we ask you for I.D. Think of it more as a compliment because you look under 25.

Shipping Rates

All shipping rates are subsidised by us. That's why we call it 'Discount Shipping'. Shipping rates vary depending on your location. Rest assured, we strive to keep shipping at the lowest rates possible while ensuring your beer arrives in good condition. A case is predominantly determined by the weight of goods ordered, but can also be determined by the size of the goods regardless of weight (e.g. glassware). As a guideline, a case could be made up of the following types of goods:

  • 24 x 330ml bottles; or
  • 24 x 375ml cans; or
  • 2 x 6 pack of beer glasses; or
  • 1 x large hamper; or
  • mix of 330ml, 375ml bottles/cans of beer

The above are examples only. Final freight costs are automatically calculated during the online checkout process. Pricing listed above is per complete case or part thereof. Pricing for beer club memberships are included as part of the listed price and vary depending on specified delivery address.

Shipping Information

Please note, we do not currently ship outside of Australia. International purchasers must list a valid Australian address.

If the order is being sent to a non-residential address, please ensure the business/company name is included in the address details under the text field "company".

All parcels can be tracked and must be signed for by a person over the age of 18 years as mandated by the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR), i.e. not just left at the premises unattended. If no-one is home when your delivery arrives, a notice will be placed in your post box and the parcel will be available for pick up at the nearest Australia Post outlet.

Deliveries are made during business hours Monday to Friday, however we are unable to give a guaranteed time of delivery. No deliveries are made on public holidays or weekends.

Should a re-delivery be required as a result of incorrect delivery address provided, parcel refusal by the recipient or the parcel not having been picked from the local Post Office a redelivery fee will be charged as well as a $10 processing and transaction fee.

Orders are desptached once processed. We are unable to hold orders for delivery on a specific day.

Refund and Returns

We are so sure that any product sold by The Gluten Free Beer Shop will meet or exceed your expectations that we guarantee the products we sell. Should you for any reason be dissatisfied with your purchase, simply return the items with 7 days of receipt for a full refund. The cost of return postage, is to be paid by the sender. Please return all bottles, including empties. In the unlikely event that your goods are damaged in transit please contact us immediately via our Contact Us page. Depending on the order and extent of damage to the goods we will be able to provide you with a credit or replacement. This is at the sole discretion of The Gluten Free Beer Shop and does not include slightly damaged labels (e.g. slight tear or fold) or minor dents to cans.

Please ensure the following information is included so your return can be processed:

  • Your Order number if known (appears on the top of the confirmation email)
  • Your name and address
  • A description of the item you are returning and a reason for the return
